2D Electrophoresis Workshop 220211-240211

As-salam.
Last week, i got the chance to attend a workshop on 2D electrophoresis. My first impression on 2D was i thought it will be a training on SDS-PAGE like what i did for my current research, but it end-up with sumthing that i was not familiar with.. My thought was totally wrong and i joined the workshop with 20% knowledge on the 2D thingies.. Huhu.. Or better classified me as beginner user.. Overall, the workshop was really interesting, but on the application of 2D is basically a bit difficult to me, since it involves molecular level knowledge *which i not really interested in (=_+)*.. basically people use 2D to identify which protein is suitable to cure disease such as cancer etc.. sound interesting isnt it..? but, the works are not as easy as we think...

And, i happy attended that workshop, i got to know many new friends.. Most of them are researchers and postgrad students.. And i was shocking impressed with the scenery and building at Taylors's University Lakeside Campus.. I can say that this campus is the second canggih+cantik campus i have ever seen (in-term of scenery ONLY).. The first ranking was a uni in Taiwan, which i used to visit back in year 2009, but i cant reckon the uni name.. The environment of the taylor uni is not like a tradisional uni in malaysia, it is so leisure, with Baskin n Robin, Old Town Kopitiam, Starbucks.. Plus, the student centre provided with snooker table ok... huhuhu and the students culture is totally different, esp attire to lecture and no such thing as "makan kat cafe student" but it more on eating at the high class cafe.. First thing crossed my mind was, how much money the students spend per week/ month for eating purposes...? Huhuhu... That factor might reflect the number of malay students there...

Okla. Here are some of the pics taken during 3 days at the workshop.. 3 days = 3 days of sesat+jammed days...
1st dimension: IPG strip matters
2nd dimension: SDS-PAGE matters

my outcome: the spots =))
i like these.. hehehe

Okla.. thats all for this post..
I'm trying to apply "less is more" concepts..
so, dont talk too much.. =)))
